LAP’s Women’s Rights Group hosted its first event in 2015, welcoming lawyers from The Gambia and Uganda to speak on public interest litigation in their countries. Since then, LAP has funded strategic litigation in the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice in relation to violence against women, supported campaigns and hosted events focused on women’s rights. The group welcomes ideas from members on future events and projects.
