With a significant proportion of lawyers now working in-house, Lawyers Against Poverty has created a working group for in-house lawyers. Participating lawyers come from a wide range of businesses and have created a website for “Just Lawyers” which we launched on the first day of the Law Society’s In-House Division Conference on 13 June 2018.
Just Lawyers is an initiative for in-house lawyers to help them to discover how to make a difference in their organisation, in society, in the profession, in action and in the world. Through active engagement, individual lawyers can use their skills to increase access to justice and work to end poverty as Just Lawyers.
Please visit the website for tips, ideas, information and case studies to help you become a Just Lawyer and take our survey about volunteering in order for us to understand what additional resources would be most useful. In addition, please email us if you are interested in working with us or if you have any questions.
